Serial Mom is a John Waters movie from 1994 about a mom that goes on a killing spree and gets the support of insane women. The film claims to be based on a true story but it is not, just a nod to the style of true crime documentaries or reenactments made for television or film. It turned out to be a bit more true than we care to admit however because now in 2026 here we are with women OBSESSED with true crime, serial killers, and other ghoulish topics.
